It is not uncommon for couples to face challenges and difficulties at some point in their relationship, but it is common for couples to resist the need to seek counseling. Most couples that are either experiencing relationship problems or just need relationship advice have a perceived stigma regarding couples counseling, this mindset has to be challenged. Several studies have shown that only a small percentage of couples who have ended their relationship or are divorcing sought couples counseling. To put it simply, successful relationships require work and dedication. Our clinicians specialize in premarital counseling and couples/marriage counseling utilizing specific models, guides and techniques to help work through these issues and create a solid foundation for your relationship.
Many individuals seek counseling services due to depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, life transitions, grief and loss, ADHD and substance abuse. In some instances individuals seeking counseling have chronic emotional challenges; however, many individuals have difficulties coping and managing normal life events. All of these struggles greatly affect an individual's ability to thrive. Our clinicians specialize in all of these areas and work to create an effective strategy based on each individual's needs and goals.
